COALITION ON POSITIVE HEALTH EMPOWERMENT Is dedicated to the eradication of Viral Hepatitis, a disease affecting over 500 million worldwide and 6 million
in the United States; And to educate the general public about the realities of mental health
and mental illness. Our programs are to help improve the lives of those affected by long-term diseases through advocacy, information and support.
We seek to raise awareness of this enormous worldwide problem and to motivate people to
support this important – and winnable – battle.
Our mission has five distinct parts:
- Teach the public and hepatitis patients how to prevent, diagnose, and treat viral hepatitis.
- Prevent viral hepatitis by promoting liver wellness and healthful lifestyles.
- Serve as advocates for hepatitis patients and the related medical community worldwide.
- Support research into prevention, treatment, and cures for viral hepatitis. And is to educate the general public about the realities of mental health and mental illness.
To accomplish this, we provide education, training programs, and materials for the public,
patients, health educators, and medical professionals.
COPE offers expert training and capacity building assistance to help health and human
service providers improve their services by confronting challenging health issues, reducing
health disparities, eliminating stigma and discrimination, and tackling increasing needs with decreasing resources.
