Change happens not just because we know something, but because something about how we feel has shifted. That is why Peer Advocacy is the core of COPE’s public policy work.
Real people with real stories shift what we know and how we feel about issues. COPE trains peer advocates to talk about how they are not getting the care they need to convince lawmakers to remove barriers to care and increase funding for supportive services.
Alongside our advocacy partners, we work to advance strategic health policy goals through legislation, letters, petitions, panel discussions, rallies, and town hall meetings.
Real people with real stories can move the world.
Please join us at our next advocacy event – for the health of our community, as well as your own health!
