COPE engages in outreach on the streets and in partnership with community organizations. Outreach events are not only an opportunity to increase health awareness but also a time for us to get to know one another.

Outreach & Screening
A regular part of our outreach activities includes health screening. Getting recommended screenings is one of the most important things you can do for your health.
Come talk to us at our next community health screening event to assess your health needs and how we can help. Don’t worry if you are uninsured or need access to health care, COPE will provide you with the support you need.
Depending on your age, gender, health lifestyle, and medical history, you may need to be screened (tested) for things like:
HIV and STDs (sexually transmitted diseases)
HCV
Certain types of cancer
High blood pressure or high cholesterol
Diabetes
Osteoporosis or weak bones
Mental health conditions, like depression
