Mindfulness & Well-Being
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention to the present moment. The goal of practicing mindfulness is to develop a disciplined mind. With a disciplined mind, you are better able to pay attention to your thoughts and sensations without judgment. Practicing helps you find acceptance and gratitude for what is and improve your sense of well-being.
Medical and behavioral research has demonstrated that practicing mindfulness can reduce stress and increase overall happiness. As a result, mindfulness meditation and other mind-body practices have found their way into the mainstream.
Healthcare and social service providers increasingly encourage their patients and clients to practice mindfulness. A daily practice can improve your physical and emotional health, as well as support your health goals.

The Mindfulness Space
Because mindfulness is a practice and there is more than one way to practice mindfulness, this space has been created to share and learn about different mindfulness techniques and resources.
It is also a space to create community.
We invite you to check in regularly for opportunities to learn. COPE will regularly ask experts to teach us about guided and silent sitting meditation, walking meditation, tai chi, qi gong, breathwork, yoga, intention setting, spiritual reading, and more.
Join us for our next Mindfulness & Well-Being Event.
You can also sign-up for updates on what is happening at COPE.
