In this section of our Health Library, COPE offers you tools for making plans and supporting your health goals.
Included is:
- A Step-by-Step Wellness Planner. This tool (from SAMHSA*) facilitates setting goals and taking action toward emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual, financial, social, environmental, and spiritual wellness. We have it in two formats – one that you can print and write upon it, the other with fillable text boxes if you prefer to type from your computer.
- A Habit Tracker. A habit tracker is a simple way to measure whether you did a habit. The format we provide is a simple calendar with space to list the health habits you are trying to add or change in your life. Each day you stick with your routine. For example, if you exercise on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each of those dates gets an X. As time rolls by, the calendar becomes a record of your habit streak.
- A Gratitude Journal: A gratitude journal is a diary of things for which you are grateful. This helps you focus your attention on positive things in your life. Some studies have found that those who are habitually grateful are happier than those who are not and that feelings of gratitude may even possess mental and physical health benefits. Furthermore, the maintenance of a gratitude journal can help relieve depressive symptoms.
